If your ride-on car doesn’t power on, there could be a number of reasons. Refer to the information below to determine the reason your ride-on won’t power on.
Please make sure to always power the ride-on OFF before trying any of the following steps:
- Check to see that the battery is connected. Most models’ battery is located under the driver’s seat or the trunk area. Make sure that both the red and black wire connectors are tightly secured onto the battery itself, and any plastic connectors in the wires in-between are connected. Try to power on after this step to check if it works.
- Check to see that all other wires under the seat are securely connected to the control board. The control board is a small black box that is most commonly located near the battery.
If you can't find the control board under the seat, try checking in your trunk.
- Ensure your battery has charge. Refrain from overcharging the battery
Please refrain from overcharging your battery as this can lead to the battery not being able to hold power. Most manufacturers recommend to never exceed 6-8 hours of charging as it can cause damage to the battery’s life and capacity. If you believe you have overcharged your battery, you can purchase a replacement from the manufacturer or online.
